About Heather
I’m a wife, mom, pastor, missionary, and passionate student of how God shapes the mind and heart for His purposes. For the past 20+ years, I’ve been deeply immersed in ministry and leadership, pursuing the kind of genuine, Christ-centered discipleship that transforms lives.
Growing up as a pastor’s kid in the Deep South gave me a strong foundation in faith, but it also gave me a hunger for deeper spiritual truth—a hunger to see discipleship that is real, relational, and rooted in God’s Word. Today, I especially love walking alongside fellow leaders who are searching for authentic spiritual growth.
My husband, Anthony, and I currently serve as Assemblies of God Chi Alpha missionaries at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. After 15 wonderful years of ministry and Chi Alpha missions work in Florida, God called us north to pioneer a new season of campus ministry. What I love most about college ministry is investing in leadership and discipleship—raising up students who will not just be followers of Jesus, but disciple-makers who multiply the Gospel wherever they go.
In addition to ministry, I have a deep passion for psychology and neuroscience—specifically how understanding the mind and emotional health can strengthen leadership and spiritual formation. I believe that the more we understand how God designed the human mind, the better we can lead, disciple, and shepherd others toward wholeness in Christ.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology with minors in Psychology and Pastoral Ministries from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Nelson University in Waxahachie, TX. I continue to study and integrate insights from leadership psychology, emotional intelligence, and neuroplasticity into my ministry approach.
Today, our family—including our adventurous 10-year-old daughter, Madeline—calls New Jersey home. From here, we continue our mission to reach the university, the marketplace, and the world with the life-transforming love of Jesus.
